Coming from a family of educators, I value curiosity and learning, from studying quantum physics to reading James Joyce, and I love thinking about problems in physics, mathematics, and computer science.
Originally, I’m from Springfield, OH, where I attended Shawnee High School, and I had the fortune of having excellent teachers who encouraged me in STEM. Now, after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in May 2023, I have a Certificate of Data Science and my B.S. in Mathematics and Physics.
As a student, I have learned the fundamentals of statistics and programming using Python and R, and I have learned to use standard scientific software, including LaTeX and MATLAB. My favorite courses at UW-Madison include Applied Mathematical Analysis, Advanced Physics Laboratory, and Data Science Programming and Modeling. Working as a student, I have experience as a marketing intern, developing promotional video cards and cataloging inventory using Microsoft Excel, and I have experience as an undergraduate research assistant, maintaining lab equipment and analyzing X-ray data using Python and R.
While I enjoy pure mathematics, I love real-world, applied problems, not limited to the field of physics, and as such I continue to learn skills in programming and computer science, hoping to tackle meaningful problems in my professional career. I’m excited and grateful to be a Client Systems Administrator at Epic Systems, where I started in July 2023.
